Terms of sale
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (“GTC”) govern sales made on the Aléthos-Verités online store.
All orders imply acceptance of these Terms and Conditions applicable at the time of the order.
1. Seller's identity

2. Products
Aléthos-Verités offers, in particular, jewelry, clothing and accessories, from our own stock or selected and made with the help of partner workshops, manufacturers and suppliers.
The essential characteristics of each product are presented on its respective product sheet.
Some products may be offered in different variants or presentations, including a Standard Version and a Premium Version.
These names refer to the variant of the purchased product and not to a paid delivery method.
When a Premium Version includes specific elements, such as a Premium case and/or a velvet pouch, these are an integral part of the purchased variant.
The exact contents of each variant and its price are indicated on the product page before adding to the cart.
The photographs, illustrations and staging are intended to present the products as faithfully as possible.
Slight differences in color, reflection, finish or perception may result from lighting, photography, the screen used or slight variations inherent in manufacturing.
However, these differences cannot alter the essential advertised characteristics of the product, such as its model, main material, main color, or the characteristics expressly indicated on its product sheet.
Jewellery offered in the Standard version is sold without a presentation box. A gift box can be added to the order. This box is dispatched separately from the jewellery by our partner workshop, so the two items may arrive on different dates. The customer must place the jewellery in the box after receipt.
For the Benedictio and Saint Longin rings, the Premium offer includes the LED gift box. Shipping charges depend on the destination and method selected: free home delivery in France, €5.90 home delivery elsewhere in the EU, or free pickup-point delivery where offered. Benedictio Standard, dispatched by our partner workshop without a presentation box, retains free home delivery.
3. Product Availability
Products and variants are offered subject to stock and availability indicated at the time of ordering.
Some products may be available directly from the Aléthos-Verités stock, while others are prepared or shipped by a workshop or partner.
In the event of exceptional unavailability after an order has been validated, Aléthos-Verités will inform the customer as soon as possible and may offer them, depending on the situation:
• to wait for a restock;
• a product or equivalent variant, with his/her agreement;
• or a refund for the unavailable product.
No replacement product will be imposed without the customer's agreement.
4. Price
Prices are shown in euros.
Aléthos-Verités benefiting from the VAT exemption threshold:
VAT not applicable – article 293 B of the CGI.
When a product is offered in several variants, particularly in Standard Version and Premium Version, each variant may be offered at a different price depending on its features, presentation and included elements.
The price difference between a Standard Version and a Premium Version does not constitute an additional delivery charge.
Any costs associated with a delivery method are indicated to the customer before final order confirmation.
Aléthos-Verités may change its prices at any time.
However, the price applicable to an order is the one displayed and accepted by the customer at the time of validation.
5. Order
Before definitively validating their order, the customer can check the products ordered, their quantities, variants, sizes, prices, delivery details, delivery method and total amount.
It is the customer's responsibility to carefully check the size selected for a ring or signet ring, as well as the Standard or Premium variant chosen.
Final order confirmation entails an obligation to pay.
An order confirmation is sent electronically after validation.
6. Payment
Payment is due upon ordering.
The available payment methods are those offered at checkout by the secure solutions integrated into Shopify.
Aléthos-Verités does not directly store the customer's complete banking details.
7. Preparation and delivery methods
Items dispatched from our stock in France: tracked home delivery is free within France and costs €5.90 in the other European Union countries, with no minimum order.
Items dispatched by our partner workshops, including clothing: standard home delivery remains free in the EU countries offered at checkout.
Pickup-point delivery is free for eligible items and baskets dispatched from our own stock. In France, it is available through Colissimo or Mondial Relay. Elsewhere in the EU, Mondial Relay is offered in Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Italy and Portugal, depending on the address and available pickup points.
This offer excludes the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Ceuta, Melilla, Sicily, Sardinia, the Azores and Madeira. In these territories and the other EU countries, home delivery for our stock costs €5.90 where the address is served.
In France, you select the pickup point during checkout. For pickup-point delivery elsewhere in the EU, select your point after payment, on the order confirmation or order status page. Your selection is needed to prepare the shipment; please contact us if you encounter any difficulty.
Pickup-point delivery is not offered for clothing or items dispatched directly by our partner workshops. Options depend on the address and basket. You will be notified when the parcel is ready and of the collection deadline. Home delivery will not be changed to a pickup point without your agreement.
An order may be dispatched in several parcels from our stock and our partner workshops, each with its own delivery time and tracking.
Mixed baskets containing items from our stock and our partner workshops are offered home delivery: free in France and €5.90 elsewhere in the EU. Orders containing only partner-workshop items retain free home delivery. Available options and total shipping charges are shown before payment is confirmed.
8. Delivery times
The delivery times below are estimates in business days. Preparation or manufacturing is separate from shipping. The information provided for the order and in the Shipping Policy specifies the applicable delivery time.
Items in stock at Aléthos-Verités: usual preparation within 24 business hours. After dispatch, indicative transit time is 2 business days in France and 3 to 5 business days in other European Union countries. For pickup points, the estimate shown at checkout applies.
Other items shipped by our partner workshops: usual preparation within 24 to 48 working hours, then estimated delivery of 5 to 9 working days after shipment, unless otherwise specified on the product page.
Clothing : Made by our partner workshop in southern France. Estimated preparation, including production, takes 2 to 6 business days for available items after the workshop validates the order and payment. After dispatch, estimated transit is 2 to 7 business days in France and 4 to 10 business days in other EU countries. Stock shortages, busy periods or disruptions may extend these estimates; we will inform you if your order encounters a difficulty.
Exceptional disruptions, particularly those related to transport, weather conditions, periods of high activity, administrative or customs controls, or force majeure events, may cause delays.
An exceeding of the usual delivery time does not automatically mean that the package is lost.
These circumstances do not, however, deprive the consumer of the rights provided for by the applicable regulations.
In the absence of an agreed or indicated deadline, the professional must deliver without undue delay and at the latest within 30 days of the conclusion of the contract.

9. Order tracking
After shipment, a tracking number or link is provided to the customer when available.
A delay may be necessary before the first information appears in the tracking system.
Depending on the shipping method and logistics network used, a package may be handled successively by several operators.
The tracking number or the carrier responsible for the final delivery may therefore change during the transit process.
Aléthos-Verités remains the customer's point of contact regarding the proper execution of their order.
10. Right of withdrawal
In accordance with the Consumer Code, the consumer has in principle a period of 14 days from receipt of the product to inform Aléthos-Verités of their decision to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to justify any reason.
The consumer can exercise their right of withdrawal by means of the withdrawal functionality made available on the site or by sending Aléthos-Verités a clear declaration expressing their wish to withdraw.
After notification of the decision, the consumer has the applicable legal period to return the product.
Certain legal exceptions may include:
• products genuinely manufactured according to the customer's personal specifications;
• products that are clearly personalized;
• Some sealed items cannot be returned for health protection or hygiene reasons after opening.

11. Return costs when exercising the right of withdrawal
In the case of a simple cancellation, a change of mind or a sizing error attributable to the customer, the direct return costs are borne by the customer.
To facilitate the procedure, Aléthos-Verités can offer a prepaid return label.
The cost of this label may vary depending on the carrier, the return method, the destination and the service used, particularly in the case of returns via Mondial Relay, Locker or postal service.
The exact amount of the label is communicated to the customer before its use.
When the customer chooses to use the prepaid label offered by Aléthos-Verités, he agrees that its previously announced cost will be deducted from the amount of his refund.
The customer may also, when offered this option in the return instructions, return the product by their own means and at their own expense.
Using a shipping method that allows package tracking is strongly recommended.
These provisions do not apply in the same way when a product is recognized as non-compliant, defective or when an error is attributable to Aléthos-Verités.
12. Refund following withdrawal
In the event of a valid exercise of the right of withdrawal, Aléthos-Verités will reimburse the price actually paid for the products concerned, in accordance with the applicable regulations.
When an item has been purchased in a Premium Version, the refund covers the amount actually paid for that variant provided that all of its components are returned under the conditions set out in the Returns and Refunds Policy.
When a Premium Version includes, in particular, a Premium case, a velvet pouch or other specific accessories, these elements are an integral part of the purchased product and must be returned with it.
In the event of absence, deterioration or depreciation of an element comprising the purchased variant, Aléthos-Verités may take into account the depreciation actually observed, under the conditions provided for by the applicable regulations.
When the right of withdrawal is exercised, initial shipping charges are refunded under Article L221-24 of the French Consumer Code. If the customer expressly chose a method more expensive than the standard delivery offered, the corresponding additional charges may be excluded from the refund. No previously uncharged initial shipping cost is deducted for free delivery.
When the customer uses a prepaid return label offered by Aléthos-Verités, the previously announced cost of this label is deducted from the refund.
Aléthos-Verités may defer the refund until the product is recovered or until the customer provides proof of shipment, whichever occurs first.
The refund will be made using the same payment method as the one used for the order, unless the customer expressly agrees otherwise and provided that this does not incur any additional costs for them.
13. Exchanges and sizing errors
When the customer wishes to change size without an error having been made by Aléthos-Verités, he can use his right of withdrawal under the conditions provided above.
The solution generally proposed is to:
• return the product in question;
• obtain the corresponding refund;
• Place a new order in the desired size.
The direct costs of return shipping are then borne by the customer.
When Aléthos-Verités has shipped a different size than the one actually ordered, the customer must contact our customer service so that the situation can be dealt with in accordance with the applicable provisions.
14. Legal Guarantees
The products sold by Aléthos-Verités benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity provided for by the Consumer Code as well as the legal guarantee against hidden defects provided for by the Civil Code.
The seller is liable in particular for defects of conformity existing at the time of delivery and appearing within a period of two years from the date of delivery.
When a defect that is actually covered by the legal guarantee of conformity is established, the consumer benefits from the solutions provided by the regulations.
The following, in particular, do not constitute a lack of conformity when they actually result from the use of the product:
• normal wear and tear;
• scratches due to use;
• damage resulting from an impact or a fall;
• damage caused by a collision;
• a deformation resulting from pressure or torsion;
• damage resulting from improper handling or maintenance;
• alterations resulting from chemicals, corrosive substances or use incompatible with the characteristics of the product.
These clarifications cannot have the effect of reducing the consumer's legal rights when a genuine lack of conformity exists.

15. Responsibility
Aléthos-Verités is responsible for the proper execution of the contract concluded with the consumer in accordance with the applicable regulations.
Using partner manufacturers, workshops, suppliers, logistics centers or carriers does not eliminate the consumer's rights against Aléthos-Verités.
Aléthos-Verités cannot, however, be held responsible when the non-performance or poor performance of the contract results from an act attributable to the consumer, an event of force majeure or another cause of exemption recognized by law.
16. Personal Data
The personal data collected in connection with the order is used in particular for its processing, payment, preparation, shipment, tracking and customer service.
Information strictly necessary for the execution of the order may be transmitted to the suppliers, manufacturers, workshops, logistics partners, carriers and service providers necessary for its completion.

Preferences for cookies and trackers can be modified using the Cookie Preferences tool available on the website.
17. Complaints

18. Consumer mediation
After having sent a prior written complaint to Aléthos-Verités and in the absence of an amicable resolution, the consumer may resort free of charge to the consumer mediator to whom Aléthos-Verités is subject, in accordance with the provisions of the Consumer Code.

Aléthos-Verités joins Citeo under the Extended Producer Responsibility scheme relating to household packaging and graphic papers.

20. Applicable Law and Disputes
These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law.
However, the choice of French law cannot have the effect of depriving a consumer residing in another country of the mandatory protection provisions to which he or she is entitled under the applicable regulations.
In the event of a dispute, an amicable resolution will be sought as a priority.
The consumer may, when the conditions are met, resort to the consumer mediator appointed by Aléthos-Verités.
In the absence of an amicable resolution, the consumer may bring the matter before the competent court in accordance with applicable legal rules.

These Terms and Conditions should be read in conjunction with the other policies available on Aléthos-Verités, including:

22. Amendment of the General Terms and Conditions of Sale
Aléthos-Verités may modify these Terms and Conditions in particular to take into account legal, regulatory, commercial, logistical or technical developments.
The terms and conditions applicable to an order are those in effect at the time the customer validates that order.
A subsequent modification of the general terms and conditions does not apply retroactively to orders already concluded.
